Financial Giving

ALIES is a registered charity (BN 88672 7791 RR0001) and issues tax receipts for all donations over $25. Receipts are mailed out in early January for the previous year’s donations. We are not government funded, so we rely entirely on individuals, churches and other groups to financially support our ministry. Financial gifts can be made out to “ALIES” or “The Back Porch”.

We accept cash, cheques, credit cards (Mastercard, Visa and American Express). Those gifts can be made by phoning the office at 780-421-9941, or by mailing them to Box 11507, Edmonton AB, T5J 3K5. You can also give securely online through PayPal.

Volunteering

The Back Porch cannot function without volunteers. They are the essential ministers in this important ministry and are the ones who speak to women and men reconsidering their abortion decision. This is not an easy job, but it is important and necessary in order to make a difference in someone's life. You could be that difference. Would you be willing to give some time to help minister to women considering abortion? Will you help us save the unborn? Is the call to minister on your heart? Do you have some free time during the week, or could you make some time? Do you have the emotional strength to be across the street from the abortion clinic and help clients choose life? Churches/Prayer Groups

The support of churches and local groups is very important in our ministry.

• Financial gifts
• Pastor's and church leaders can read "Answering the Call" by Pastor John Ensor (copies available for ordering through the ALIES office).
• Choose one weekend during the year where you have a “Pro-life Weekend.” Invite pro-life groups to your church so that the congregation can learn more about life issues and how they can best support a culture of life.
• Have a loose change collection for the Back Porch one weekend each year. Invite everyone in the church to dig in their pockets, purses or wallets and to throw their change into a plate for the Back Porch. If you’d like brochures or donor cards/envelopes or a speaker to explain what we do, call or email us.
• Inviting a Speaker to educate your members on the truth of abortion & the amazing work of the Back Porch ministry.
• Become a church contact so that the Back Porch can send you updates, bulletin announcements, or newsletters that you can share with your church family.
